Violin Labeled: Soloist Model Santiago Violins Albuquerque, New Mexico No. 63, 12-07 Description: This fine violin is a Stradivarius Soloist model. It has a two piece top of narrow grain spruce. The incredible pinned one piece back, the ribs and the scroll are all made of gorgeous prominent flamed maple. The purfling is inlaid and well executed with sharp bee stings in every corner, and of course it is fully blocked and lined inside. The varnish is oil based and has a desirable texture. It is well set up with a new soundpost, a new bridge, and a beautiful matching set of boxwood fittings which have black accents. The condition of this violin is pristine! There are no cracks, no old repairs, no open seems and will not require any restoration. The tone of this violin is full, and has a nice rich timber. It is nicely balanced and responds well under the bow and does not sound harsh. This auction is for the violin only, no case or bow is included in this listing.
