I had wanted to become a doctor and minored in biology. I worked in a neurology lab for a while then received a summer internship in biochemisty, both of which made me realize that pursuing my plans of becoming a doctor was not for me. Instead, I dedicated myself to the study of literature and linguistics. I received a BA in Spanish and attended graduate school.
