I acquired this very rare kombi a while back with the intent to restore it to its original glory. Its going to be a long time if ever before I can get to. Its in very, very poor condition and to most people its beyond saving. But to a crazy few with the skills, desire, and commitment its doable. The roof is good but needing some rust fixed here and there as shown in the pics. The underside from the torsion area back is solid. The side windows are solid. The rest is pretty much wasted. Not only has the northeast rust taken its toll on this bus but it has been abused the rear deck (above the gas tank!) was used as a bbq pit and it appears that the cargo area was used to haul boulders. Its had a hard life. The original grooved sunroof rails are present, and the original motor, as well as a few unique post-barndoor Wolfsburg parts ( http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=225586&highlight=wolfsburg ).
